A Vision for Our Town Council
Our Town Stays a Town
Making decisions that protect property rights and our small town feel.
No Big City Here!
Top Concerns & Goals:
- Blue Hills Emergency Exit
- Super Fund Resolution
- Town Road Improvements
- Town Council and Staff Code of Ethics
Civic Transparency
Restoring trust through complete budgetary openness and accessible public records, ensuring every taxpayer knows where the money goes.
I would like to bring a code of ethics to the town council and staff as to not repeat the recent past.
Have a council that makes decisions based on the communities wants and needs rather than special interest.
Meeting the Moment with Experience and Heart
I am a proud Arizona native, having spent most of my life in Phoenix before making the move to Dewey-Humboldt in 2019. Relocating here provided me with the unique opportunity to design and build my own home, fully embrace the area’s scenic beauty, and become actively involved in a close-knit, welcoming community.
My professional journey began in electrical engineering, where I spent 20 years developing strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of electrical systems, programming, design implementation and business management. Over time, my passion for mentoring and knowledge-sharing led me to transition into education. I am currently a professor at Yavapai College, where I have the privilege of preparing and guiding the next generation of professionals.
In addition to my industry and teaching experience, I hold multiple degrees in technology, business, and education, along with professional certifications, including certification as a Building Inspector through the International Code Council (ICC). I served the Town of Dewey-Humboldt as its Building Official and Inspector for a short time, further strengthening my commitment to public service, safety, and responsible community development. This combination of experience uniquely qualifies me to address the challenges our town faces today.
My wife Kathleen and I have been married for 30 years, and together we have raised two sons who are now building lives of their own. Family has always been the foundation of my values and my commitment to community. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors - exploring the Bradshaw Mountains, riding dirt bikes, and working on projects around my property. Living here means embracing the lifestyle and preserving the character that makes our town unique.
As a fiscal conservative, my primary goal as a council member is to maintain the rural character of Dewey-Humboldt while planning responsibly for the future. Growth should be thoughtful and guided by the needs and priorities of the community - not special interests. The role of our Town Council is to ensure public safety, safeguard essential infrastructure, and proactively address future challenges so that we leave a strong, sustainable foundation for generations to come.
